W2 The questions in the class

 The first question:

-Talk about cultures except Asian culture and Western culture.

I want to talk about Afro-pop.In my opinion, music is also a part of the cultural sector, just like K-pop in South Korea.

In ancient times,Africans expressed their feelings and beliefs through singing, dancing and percussion instruments.This form of music is closely related to the local tribal culture.A lot of African music is based on traditional stories.These stories often involve local myths, historical events, heroic legends, and so on.African music gives me a very free and passionate feeling, and African music is often accompanied by Africa dance, and i can feel the characteristics of this nation more visually.Because l also like dancing very much, and now Afro-pop has become a new style of dance, and the dance shown will be very cheerful and powerful, which makes me have a strong interest in the land of Africa.

So that's the culture i want to share.And i think that's what African music shows sbout African culture.

 The second questions:

-How global is global culture?

In my opinion, the real globalization is the exchange and integration of different cultures.Not trying to change people or influence their mind through culture, but making the world a better place through culture.

-Is global culture unduly dominated by the Western or American culture?

In fact, i think American movies often promote individualistic heroism.So when people in other countries are keen on watching American movies, this idea will gradually affect the people who watch movies, then i think this is the way they convey their cultural thoughts to the world through the medium of film.Thus, it affects cultural globalization.

-Is Asian influence on the global culture growing or receding?

I think it has improved.For example, Chinese traditional culture, traditional festivals and traditional food make people from all over the world interested in China, so foreigners will start to learn Chinese or travel to China, so as to know Chinese culture and history, and know how self-reliant, hard-working and friendly the Chinese nation is.I think this is an example of cultural globalization.Another example is the Korean Wave culture in South Korea,Korean K-pop music is very famous in the world.Under the influence of Korean Wave culture,Korean Wave lovers from all countries come to Korea, which is why we can see people from all countries in HongDae.When people from from different countries and nationalities get together, there will be a collision between different cultures, resulting in cultural exchange and integration. This is where i see the positive impact of Asian cultural globalization.
